Zoey Stark addressed her current WWE status and in-ring future in a video released on June 16, directly refuting retirement rumors that had circulated online. The speculation was fueled by an AI-generated video that depicted her announcing the end of her career.
The video was convincing enough to mislead some of her own family members. Stark detailed the situation before clarifying her actual status.
“That’s pretty funny actually. This AI video, whoever made it, great job. You did a fantastic job because a lot of people fell for it, including my own family. It’s not true, I’m not retiring. Not any time soon,” Stark stated.

Instead of retiring, Stark confirmed she is deeply focused on her rehabilitation following a significant knee injury. She revealed she is undergoing intensive physical therapy multiple times a day at the UFC Performance Institute.
“In fact, I’m here at the UFC Performance Institute to do rehab on my knee, and working my a* off three to four times a day of physical therapy,”* she explained. “Look, I’m gonna share my journey with you guys. You know, the good, the bad, the ugly, the road to recovery, and what it is. So, stay with me. I love all you Stark marks.”
Stark sustained the injury during the May 19 edition of WWE RAW in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. She suffered tears to her ACL, MCL, and meniscus after landing awkwardly from a missile dropkick, necessitating surgery to repair the damage. The expected recovery timeline will keep her out of action for the remainder of 2025.
