Dutch Mantell has countered recent speculation suggesting Triple H might be nearing an exit from WWE. Speaking on his podcast, Mantell addressed rumors fueled by perceived backstage power dynamics involving Triple H and The Rock, particularly after The Rock’s absence from WrestleMania 41.
The conversation about Triple H’s standing intensified following WrestleMania. Factors contributing include The Rock’s position on the TKO board compared to Triple H’s role leading main roster creative, a prediction by former WWE writer Vince Russo about Triple H potentially leaving, and The Rock reportedly not mentioning Triple H while addressing creative staff post-event.
On the “Story Time with Dutch Mantell” podcast, Mantell tackled the exit theories head-on. He acknowledged the underlying question of whether The Rock or Triple H holds primary control within the company’s structure.

Expressing his view, Mantell stated, “Well, that [problems between higher-ups] is the first thing I thought because that’s more interesting than what they’re doing in the ring. Who has control of WWE? Is it The Rock or is it Triple H? Now, there’s recently been talk that Triple H is on his way out. I don’t see that at all. I really don’t.”
The backdrop for this discussion includes events at WrestleMania 41. The Rock was expected to appear, having previously aligned with John Cena and Travis Scott. Instead, Travis Scott assisted John Cena in capturing the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes, while The Rock did not show up, leaving his absence unexplained at the event’s conclusion.
