United States Champion Jacob Fatu chose not to discuss Jeff Cobb’s recent WWE arrival during an appearance on the Backlash Recap Show. Fatu stated, “Man, I’m gonna keep it 100, I don’t even want to speak on that. I don’t want to speak on none of that.”
He reiterated his reluctance, adding, “I appreciate you having me, but I don’t want to speak on none of that. I can’t tell you if I don’t know anything. If I don’t know why, I can’t speak on it.”
Cobb made his surprising debut at WWE Backlash, interfering in Fatu’s successful United States Championship defense against LA Knight, Drew McIntyre, and Damian Priest by attacking Knight. Fatu visibly did not celebrate with Cobb afterward.
