John Cena directly confronted the “We Want Truth” chants from the audience during a recent WWE SmackDown appearance, asserting “You can’t handle the truth!”
Cena critically engaged the chanting crowd, stating, “You hypocrites chant for Truth, you are all pathetic liars!” He also claimed the audience’s “dream of what the WWE is will be RUINED.”
The chants specifically referenced R-Truth, whose WWE contract was not renewed. R-Truth had previously faced John Cena at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, marking that contest as R-Truth’s second to last before his company departure.
John Cena and Logan Paul, the latter notably holding the WWE World Heavyweight Title during the segment, subsequently laid out Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. Following this confrontation, Cena and Paul posed with championship titles.
Cena and Paul are currently set to compete against Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank.
