John Cena Could Betray The Rock by Year’s End

Greg Gagne and Magnum T.A., on The Four Horsemen Network, predict John Cena will turn on The Rock as part of current WWE storylines.

A potential betrayal of The Rock by John Cena was a central topic of discussion on The Four Horsemen Network, hosted by Dom DeAngelo and featuring wrestling veterans Greg Gagne and Magnum T.A. Both Gagne and Magnum T.A. concurred that current WWE narratives could culminate in Cena turning against The Rock.

This speculation arises from the ongoing storyline where The Rock orchestrated John Cena’s heel persona to assert dominance within WWE. This development followed a confrontation involving Cody Rhodes after the 2025 Elimination Chamber event, where Cena was victorious and Rhodes subsequently declined an association with The Rock. Cena then attacked Rhodes, solidifying his first heel character in over two decades and has since been portrayed as a dominant figure, reportedly on a retirement tour.

Greg Gagne stated directly that Cena would “have to turn on The Rock.” Magnum T.A. elaborated on this sentiment, saying, “Yeah, 100%. Not even a question. There’s 101 ways they go about doing it. It’s hard for them keeping him (Cena) there because I can already see him showing some emotion when he’s leaving the ring. He’s working it fantastic. But you can see it in his eyes. It’s hard to just completely keep him in that coldblooded sausage maker roll.”
