Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena displayed a gesture reminiscent of Brock Lesnar during the May 24 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Prior to his non-title match with R-Truth, after his introduction by Lilian Garcia, Cena tossed the Undisputed WWE Championship towards the referee.
This act mirrored a widely noted incident from WrestleMania 34, where Brock Lesnar, following his victory over Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, threw the title belt in the direction of Vince McMahon backstage.
In the concluding moments of his match against R-Truth, John Cena initially brought the championship belt into the ring, seemingly to use it as a weapon, before handing it to the official. As the referee was occupied with the belt, Cena delivered a low blow to R-Truth, leading to a pinfall victory.
