Fresh off his historic WrestleMania 41 victory, John Cena continues his packed WWE schedule with a newly announced appearance at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Triple H confirmed the May 24 special event in Tampa via X, featuring Cena prominently on the promotional poster.
The Undisputed WWE Champion’s participation follows his upcoming Backlash title defense against Randy Orton in St. Louis on May 10. Cena’s current run includes advertised appearances through SummerSlam and September’s Clash at the Castle in Paris, marking his most active stretch since returning to full-time competition.
The Tampa event marks WWE’s second Saturday Night’s Main Event special of 2025, continuing the revival of the classic television format. Cena’s involvement suggests ongoing championship implications as he approaches two months as titleholder – his first world championship reign since 2017.
