Nikki Bella’s highly anticipated return to WWE RAW on June 9 culminated in a physical confrontation with Liv Morgan, seemingly establishing the first major program for the upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event.

First announced during Money in the Bank, the appearance in Phoenix was Bella’s first on WWE programming since a surprise entry in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble. On a recent episode of her podcast, Bella had stated that the Royal Rumble experience reignited her passion for competition, expressing a desire to face the current generation of talent.

Before her in-ring segment, Bella was seen backstage reacquainting herself with a much-changed WWE landscape. She had positive interactions with several talents, including Maxxine Dupri, Natalya, Roxanne Perez, and a notable exchange where she praised Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky.

Once in the ring, Bella began delivering what was advertised as a “special message,” praising the depth of the women’s roster and alluding to the next all-women’s show, Evolution 2, set to take place in Atlanta. However, she was cut short by an irate Liv Morgan, who stormed out to express her displeasure at being omitted from Bella’s list of top competitors.

“Nikki, you’re lucky that I wasn’t around during your career because I would have been champion and beaten you too,” Morgan declared, accusing the Hall of Famer of jealousy and taking a personal jab about her relationship status.

Bella fired back, reminding Morgan that Roxanne Perez had recently taken everything from her.
