A confrontation on the June 16 edition of WWE RAW culminated in the addition of another contest to the upcoming Night of Champions event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has officially scheduled a match between AJ Styles and Dominik Mysterio for the June 28 premium live event.
The sequence of events began following AJ Styles’ victory over JD McDonagh. After the pinfall, Styles directed his attention toward Dominik Mysterio, clarifying his intentions.
Later, during a backstage segment, internal friction within The Judgment Day surfaced when Mysterio insisted on confronting Styles independently. This prompted the intervention of Nick Aldis, who finalized the contest between the two competitors.
This match joins an already significant card scheduled for the Mohammed Abdu Arena. Other confirmed bouts include John Cena challenging for the Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk, which is being promoted as their final encounter.
Furthermore, the event will feature the finals for both the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments. The winners of those respective matches will secure championship opportunities at SummerSlam.
