Social media activity from The Miz has ignited speculation about his WWE future after the veteran removed all company references from his X/Twitter profile and unfollowed WWE’s official account. The changes came shortly after R-Truth’s unexpected departure from the company.
Fightful Select addressed the rumors, stating “we have not been told whatsoever that he’s been informed of his contract not being renewed.” The report suggests the social media activity may be unrelated to his WWE status.
Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live added context, noting “I was told that he’s doing the new season of American Gladiators. I know people are skeptical they [WWE] would get rid of him now but he did remove references to WWE from his social media.”

The Miz has been with WWE since 2004, becoming one of the company’s most recognizable stars. His current contract, signed in 2019, is believed to expire in 2025. The timing of his social media changes coincided with WWE’s decision not to renew several veteran contracts, including R-Truth’s.
While fan speculation continues, no official confirmation about The Miz’s status has been provided by WWE. The situation remains unclear as both his Instagram profile still lists WWE affiliation and he continues following WWE on that platform.
