Major WWE Star Reveals They Have Been Wrestling While Injured

WWE star Drew McIntyre revealed to the Orlando Sentinel he's working hurt before facing Damian Priest tonight.

Drew McIntyre has acknowledged that he is currently contending with physical discomfort leading into his match scheduled for the May 24th edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. In an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, McIntyre disclosed that he is presently unable to turn his head completely to the left. He is slated to face Damian Priest in singles competition tonight.

I can’t turn my head all the way left yet… Working hurt is just what happens if you’re an athlete, especially as the years go by. If you’re injured, it is something to take care of. Maybe back in the day, we would have taped it up and gone with it. In the past, I have worked with muscle tears and breaks, which isn’t the most sensible thing, but the way we operate now, you want to last for the long run.

The upcoming encounter between Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest serves as a rematch from their contest at WrestleMania 41. The two WWE wrestlers last had a notable interaction during the US Championship four-way match at Backlash, where Priest executed an elevated South of Heaven chokeslam on McIntyre, sending him through tables situated in the crowd area.

Concurrent with Drew McIntyre’s disclosure, there have been reports indicating that Damian Priest has also been “very banged up” throughout their ongoing feud. It has been mentioned that considerable discussion among WWE talent has centered on “marveling at the toughness” displayed by Damian Priest in recent months as he competes through his own physical challenges.
