MJF has confirmed he suffered a shoulder injury during his absence from AEW, though he bristled when asked about potential surgery. The former AEW World Champion addressed his medical situation during an appearance on the SI Media Podcast with Jimmy Traina.
When questioned specifically about surgery, MJF immediately shut down the line of inquiry. “I hurt my shoulder. Did I have surgery? I’m not… what do they call it… HIPAA violations? You really shouldn’t ask me questions like that,” MJF responded sharply.
Despite Traina’s attempt to revisit the topic, the wrestler maintained his privacy while assuring fans about his current physical condition. “When I take my shirt off, I am the most in-shape professional wrestler in my company—not that that’s hard,” he added, taking a characteristic shot at the AEW roster.
