MJF’s presence is confirmed for AEW’s Double or Nothing in Phoenix this weekend, although he is not scheduled to compete, according to Fightful Select. This news follows his official induction into The Hurt Syndicate on the May 21 AEW Dynamite, an event that also saw a confrontation with the faction’s upcoming pay-per-view opponents.
During the May 21 Dynamite broadcast, MJF aligned with MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin, with MVP proclaiming MJF is “better than the fans, and they know it.” The segment was interrupted by Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara, who are set to challenge The Hurt Syndicate for their titles at Double or Nothing.
Rhodes directly addressed the new alliance, warning MVP about MJF, stating, “He’s a snake in the grass,” and added, “If I were a betting man, I’d bet on the Day One guys.”
