The event included several significant women’s contests, such as Mercedes Mone against Jamie Hayter in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup finals, Toni Storm versus Mina Shirakawa for the Women’s World Championship, and Marina Shafir and Willow Nightingale participating in the Anarchy in the Arena match. Natalya expressed her satisfaction with these performances.
In a post on X, Natalya shared that she observed many impressive women’s matches over the prior weekend. She emphasized that when provided with opportunities, women in wrestling consistently deliver memorable performances.
She wrote, “Watched a lot of incredible. Women’s Wrestling last night… what a time to be a female in the sport. Give us an opportunity and we’re gonna crush it. And then top it.”
While Natalya’s post referenced “last night,” it is important to note that the AEW Double or Nothing event occurred on the same day as NXT Battleground, another WWE show featuring multiple women’s matches.
