The Rock’s return has created both excitement and tension within WWE. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, several talents have expressed frustration over recent promotional changes for Elimination Chamber.
WWE originally created advertisements featuring multiple stars for the March 1 premium live event. However, the company replaced these with versions highlighting only The Rock, causing discontent among various performers within the organization.
The promotional shift followed The Rock’s unexpected SmackDown appearance, where he challenged Cody Rhodes to become “his champion” while warning he would take a piece of Rhodes’ soul. Rhodes is expected to respond at Elimination Chamber this weekend.
