A new tag team is being prepared for the WWE women’s division, as recent plans indicate Natalya and Maxxine Dupri are set to be officially branded as “The Dungeon Dolls.” WWE is reportedly in the process of securing the name for both legal and merchandising purposes, signaling a significant step for the duo.
According to a report from WrestleVotes Radio, the name is a direct homage to Natalya’s prestigious wrestling lineage as a member of the Hart family. The “Dungeon” reference points to the legendary training facility established by her grandfather, Stu Hart, where Natalya holds the distinction of being the first woman to have officially trained.
“WWE is in the planning stages of launching a new women’s tag team on television,” the report stated. “The tag team will be Natalya and Maxxine Dupri with the proposed name of ‘The Dungeon Dolls’. WWE is in the process of getting the name cleared for both legal presentation and merchandising.”
This development appears to be the culmination of storyline elements from earlier this year. During a segment in March, Maxxine Dupri explicitly stated her ambition to train in the Hart Dungeon, providing a clear narrative foundation for the team’s identity.
With the formation of “The Dungeon Dolls,” both competitors could be positioned for a significant run in the women’s tag team division. The move reinforces a mentorship role for Natalya, who recently showcased a more aggressive style in appearances for promotions like NWA and Bloodsport. This veteran leadership was also on display when she posted a message to Akira Tozawa on X/Twitter, inviting him to rebuild in The Dungeon after a loss, further cementing the theme of their new alliance.
