During Monday’s RAW, Liv Morgan sustained a facial injury in a tag team match pitting her and Raquel Rodriguez against IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. The incident occurred when Rodriguez launched Morgan into SKY and then into Kai, resulting in an errant knee strike to Morgan’s face.

Morgan immediately clutched her face after the impact, with blood visibly running down her right cheek from a cut near her eye and temple area. Despite the injury, the match continued with SKY executing her Over The Moonsault finisher to secure the victory. Following the match, Rodriguez assisted Morgan to the backstage area.

Sources confirm Morgan sustained a cut above her right eye during the tag team match. Fightful Select reports that there were discussions about Morgan potentially requiring stitches to close the wound. Backstage personnel indicate Morgan’s condition stabilized following the match, with WWE officials expecting no long-term issues. The report adds that no heat exists between any of the match participants regarding the incident.

The injury comes at a crucial time for Morgan, who enters 2025 looking to reclaim championship gold. She previously held the Women’s World Championship for 226 days and captured the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship in 2024. Morgan’s current focus remains on the upcoming Women’s Elimination Chamber match as she pursues a championship opportunity at WrestleMania 41.
