The Hurt Syndicate Tipped to Add New Member Soon – And It’s Not MJF

The possibility of Cedric Alexander joining AEW remains an active point of discussion, according to a new Fightful Select report. This update surfaces amidst ongoing fan speculation about the former WWE star’s future.

Importantly, the report clarified that a past public dispute involving Alexander’s wife, Big Swole, and AEW President Tony Khan is not viewed as an obstacle to his potential signing by the company.

Alexander became a free agent in early May 2025, following the expiration of his 90-day non-compete clause. He was part of WWE’s talent releases in early February of this year.

His former Hurt Business allies are now prominent in AEW as The Hurt Syndicate. An anticipated segment on a recent Dynamite involving MJF and the faction did not feature Alexander, but another similar segment is planned.

While no deal is confirmed, Alexander’s established connections within AEW and his current free-agent status, coupled with these insider reports, continue to fuel anticipation for his potential arrival in the promotion.
