Rusev’s Next Feud Revealed

Following their respective returns and new contracts, Rusev and Sheamus are subjects of a PWInsider report indicating a future feud on WWE RAW.

Rusev, who reappeared on WWE programming during the April 21 WWE RAW and secured a two-year contract, is slated for a match against Akira Tozawa on the May 26 broadcast.

Parallel to Rusev’s April 2025 WWE re-entry after his time in AEW as Miro, Sheamus also made his return to WWE RAW earlier in 2025 from an injury and has since signed a new five-year deal.

PWInsider reports that WWE is considering a program between Rusev and Sheamus for the WWE RAW brand. These two performers have a documented history, notably Rusev capturing the United States Title from Sheamus in a match on November 3, 2014, which was exclusive to the WWE Network. They later were aligned as members of The League of Nations, a group active from late 2015 until April 2016 that also included Alberto Del Rio and King Barrett.

Adding to the developments surrounding Rusev’s current WWE tenure, his wife, CJ Perry, has entered into a WWE Legends contract.
