Ron Killings has publicly confirmed reports that Nick Khan was directly involved in securing his return to WWE. The acknowledgment came via social media, where Killings expressed gratitude to the company’s leadership and the audience for their support.

In a recent post, Killings directly addressed how his return came to fruition, crediting the fans and singling out the WWE President for his role in the process.

“How? = YOU… Yall brought me back!! They heard, listened, felt, and understood. Thank you @TripleH finger point emoji @WWE and man… thank you Nick Khan for allowing R-Truth to set me free!!! Im driving now…I AM Ron KILLINGS I AM THE TRUTH THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH, Now put some RESPECT on my name,” Killings stated.

This confirmation follows his surprise appearance at Money in the Bank, where he attacked John Cena. While some initially speculated his departure was part of a storyline, it has since been revealed that the situation was entirely legitimate. WWE was initially prepared to let his contract expire, a decision that sparked considerable backlash from fans, industry insiders, and talent within the locker room.

Multiple sources indicate that the groundswell of support was a major factor in the company reversing its course. The departure was not a scripted work, and the news of his potential exit genuinely upset many backstage. Khan’s personal intervention was key to finalizing a new deal in the 72 hours leading up to Money in the Bank, with the return being kept a secret from most of the roster.

The storyline culminated on the June 9 episode of WWE RAW, where the performer delivered an intense promo. In a symbolic act, he cut off his signature braids in the center of the ring, shedding the R-Truth persona.

“The truth has set me free. I am Ron Killings. I am the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Now, put some respect on my name!” he declared.

The segment received a massive reaction and garnered over 1.5 million views across WWE’s platforms within 10 hours. The shift to a more serious character has been met with widespread positivity from the wrestling community, with colleagues like Big E publicly expressing their excitement for Killings’ new creative direction.
