Joe Hendry voiced a strong conviction on a recent “Insight” podcast episode, asserting that a match between himself and John Cena will take place before Cena concludes his in-ring career at the end of 2025.
When questioned about the possibility, Hendry responded affirmatively: “Of course it’s possible. The real question is do I think it will happen? Yes.” He discussed this in light of Cena’s current farewell tour.

Explaining his certainty, Hendry cited his “track record” and a strong intuition. “I can’t explain it. I just feel it in my heart, to be honest with you. I just would be lying if I sat here and said I didn’t think it would happen,” he elaborated.
