During the May 30 episode of WWE SmackDown, Chelsea Green confronted Nick Aldis, demanding punitive action against Zelina Vega. Green, sporting a new bedazzled protective face mask, asserted that Vega deliberately caused her broken nose during their encounter at Saturday Night’s Main Event when Vega executed a 619.
Green insisted that Aldis should strip Vega of the Women’s United States Championship and issue an indefinite suspension. Aldis, however, promptly rejected Green’s directive. Instead of penalizing Vega, Aldis announced a match featuring Alba Fyre against the Women’s US Champion.
This SmackDown appearance marked the first time Green was seen with the new facial protection since sustaining the clean break to her nose. Despite the injury, reports indicate Green is not expected to miss any television time, with the mask serving to protect her nose as it heals, allowing her continued presence on WWE programming.

Sources suggest Green has received commendation backstage for her approach to the injury situation, particularly her creative incorporation of the mask into her presentation. WWE’s media team has also highlighted her updated look on social media platforms.
The use of protective masks by injured talent has historical precedent, with performers like Cody Rhodes, Sheamus, Carmella, and Trish Stratus previously wrestling while wearing similar gear. Green’s bedazzled version has garnered positive reactions from fans and media, who have noted her resilience and the stylish nature of the protective equipment.
