NXT Champion Oba Femi approaches WWE’s main roster with a competitive mindset, not as an admirer. He articulated this viewpoint during a recent conversation with Jim Varsallone.
Femi stated directly, “I’m not a fan of anyone on the main roster. I’m Oba Femi, you’re competition now.” This declaration underscores his focused ambition.
He elaborated on his method of watching WWE RAW and SmackDown talent, explaining, “As a student of the game. As a scholar of the sport, I have to watch. I definitely don’t watch from the perspective of a fan anymore.”

Femi anticipates joining those ranks soon, adding, “…a lot of these guys I’m gonna be shoulder-to-shoulder with them in a couple of years, maybe a couple of months.” He concluded, “So I watch from a different perspective, not that of a fan, but of a Warrior seeking to prepare.”
