The status of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship is uncertain as Liv Morgan’s injury has kept the titles out of active defense for more than two months. With the Evolution event on the horizon, a decision regarding the championship’s future may be required from Triple H on an upcoming edition of WWE RAW.
A potential course of action involves vacating only Liv Morgan’s portion of the tag team title. This strategy would permit her partner, Raquel Rodriguez, to select a new partner to continue the championship reign.
This approach would not be without precedent. A similar situation occurred previously when Chelsea Green chose Piper Niven as her new co-champion following an injury to Sonya Deville.
In this context, Roxanne Perez has been suggested as a candidate to team with Rodriguez. Another instance of a substitute partner scenario was when Naomi stepped in for Jade Cargill. While Rodriguez and Perez do not have an established on-screen chemistry, they would have an opportunity to build a dynamic ahead of the Evolution event.
