During the post-show media scrum for Money in the Bank, Paul “Triple H” Levesque discussed WWE’s decision to stage WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 18 and 19, 2026, a move officially confirmed during the broadcast. The event was previously announced in February 2025 by The Rock for the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Addressing the venue shift, Levesque highlighted the advantages and lessons learned from the city hosting WrestleMania 41.
“To be able to go back in (to Las Vegas), it’s built for stuff like what we do, and to be able to go there a second time, the things that we learned this time and how we handled the week there, and everything else … this one will be even better. It’s a great opportunity for us to go in there, in a place that people love going to last year, will love going to again.”
The choice to return to Allegiant Stadium marks only the second time in history that the same venue has hosted consecutive WrestleMania events, following WrestleMania IV and V in 1988-89. This decision is reinforced by the financial success of WrestleMania 41, which set company records for attendance, merchandise, sponsorships, and hospitality, alongside WWE receiving over $4.24 million in local tax incentives.
Levesque also commented on the relationship with the original host city, noting that the partnership remains intact despite the change.
“We love New Orleans, and we love our partnership with them. We were able to grow that partnership with them along through this process, as well. So I think it’s a win for everybody.”
As part of the new arrangement, New Orleans has been awarded the 2026 Money in the Bank event and is slated to host a future WrestleMania. The WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas will also feature SmackDown, the Hall of Fame ceremony, and NXT Stand & Deliver, with most of these events scheduled for the T-Mobile Arena.
