Becky Lynch has signed a new WWE contract but her return to television has been delayed due to contract finalization details with her new management agency. According to Wrestling Informer’s Billi Bhatti, the hold-up involves Lynch and Seth Rollins changing representation to handle both of their deals.
Lynch agreed to re-sign with WWE after her contract expired in late 2024. The negotiations slowed when both performers decided to shift to new management that would represent them collectively.
Bhatti detailed the specific elements causing the delay during his recent report on the situation.
There was a delay in the contract negotiations because they decided to go with a different agent, and that new agent wanted to come in and tie up loose ends. Specific things they wanted were added to their contracts, and in Becky’s case, it wasn’t about getting permission to take other opportunities without WWE necessarily getting a cut. She also wanted to be allowed to use the Becky Lynch name without WWE fully owning it. However, she wanted more flexibility when it came to approval for outside projects.
Lynch and Rollins recently signed with Adventure Media for management, giving them representation from an agency that works with top filmmakers and showrunners. This change reportedly played a significant role in their contract discussions with WWE.
Bhatti explained that the couple had specific parameters they wanted aligned in their new deals with the company.
These tiny little odds and ends are being finalized by the new agent they both wanted to use. They wanted to be with the same agent, they want their contracts to begin at the same time, and they want their contracts to be the same length. My belief is they’re going to get pretty much the same money.
Lynch has made appearances at Netflix-related events but clarified she was there supporting the company rather than as part of a WWE storyline.
The timeline for Lynch’s return to WWE programming remains undetermined while these final contract details are addressed.
