Recent WWE Change Hints at Lack of Creative Plans for Alexa Bliss

Following the events of Money in the Bank, WWE has made a notable update to its official superstars banner, reflecting a shift in the women’s division.

Recent WWE Change Hints at Lack of Creative Plans for Alexa Bliss

In a move that indicates a potential shift in the pecking order of the women’s division, WWE has updated its official superstars banner, replacing Alexa Bliss with the 2025 Women’s Money in the Bank winner, Naomi. This change comes just days after Naomi secured the coveted briefcase at the premium live event in Los Angeles.

The alteration seemingly confirms a significant push for Naomi on the SmackDown brand. Bliss had been a fixture on the banner since her return to WWE programming in March, which included participation in the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber match. Her removal, contrasted with Naomi’s addition, suggests the company is positioning the victor as a future leader of the division.

Both competitors were part of the six-woman ladder match on June 7, where Naomi ultimately climbed the ladder to retrieve the contract, guaranteeing her a future world championship opportunity. Despite a strong showing, Bliss came up short in her effort to win the match for a second time in her career.

However, the banner change may not be the final word in this developing situation. In a June 9 interview with Complex Sports, Bliss made her intentions clear regarding the new Ms. Money in the Bank. “I always have plans for revenge. If there’s one thing about Alexa Bliss, it’s that there’s always a plan for revenge,” she stated, adding, “Well clearly right now, Naomi just got the briefcase… Maybe we’ll see something there.” This sets the stage for a potential conflict as Naomi prepares for a championship pursuit.
