A timeline for Rey Mysterio’s return to WWE has been established, with the veteran now expected back in the ring during the summer. The details regarding his absence were clarified by Konnan on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast.
Konnan confirmed that Mysterio’s absence, which included missing WrestleMania 41, was due to a torn abductor muscle that necessitated a surgical procedure. In addition to that injury, Mysterio was also contending with a damaged eardrum. His most recent televised match occurred on the March 29 edition of SmackDown.
A definitive timeframe for his return was provided during the podcast.

“Yeah, he will be in future shows. Great working with him and Dom, and I can’t wait to see who else I’m going to get to work with,” Konnan added.
Despite the injuries, Mysterio was present at the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event, making a non-physical appearance to interact with attendees.
