WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has publicly questioned the creative direction of the company, specifically targeting a championship match booked in the immediate aftermath of Jey Uso’s recent title loss. The criticism centers on the decision to schedule a match between the new World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, and Goldberg.
The booking decision was made just a week after Gunther defeated Jey Uso for the championship on the June 9 edition of WWE RAW, ending Uso’s 51-day reign. The new champion is now slated to defend the title against Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta. This development prompted the critical remarks from Rikishi on his podcast.
Speaking on the Rikishi Fatu Off The Top podcast, the veteran performer voiced his disapproval of both Goldberg’s placement in the title picture and the timing of the match relative to his nephew’s championship loss.

We all know that’s got to be nothing but the bag. Is Goldberg able to give that type of a match to justify the Heavyweight belt? I mean, this belt has prestige on it, right? How do we get the belt back to Jey, and then we say, ‘Okay, we’re going to get Goldberg? Let’s go get Goldberg; you’re next.’ And then he comes through. I don’t know, man. Either somebody’s taking too much Tylenol PM, that’s writing this st, or you need to stay off the dm Tylenol PM.
