Roman Reigns Could Be Ambushed by Former Rival on SmackDown Return, Not Seth Rollins

Despite Seth Rollins’ Royal Rumble attack on Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre appears positioned to confront the OG Bloodline leader during his upcoming SmackDown appearance on March 21.

Roman Reigns Could Be Ambushed by Former Rival on SmackDown Return, Not Seth Rollins

Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE programming since his brutal attack at the hands of Seth Rollins at Royal Rumble 2025. While Rollins delivered multiple Curb Stomps onto steel steps and the arena floor, a different rival might be waiting for Reigns when he returns to SmackDown on March 21.

Drew McIntyre has systematically targeted members of the OG Bloodline since Survivor Series 2024, when Reigns’ faction emerged victorious in the WarGames match. The Scottish star has already ambushed Jey Uso and defeated Sami Zayn in singles competition.

McIntyre has repeatedly referenced his loss to Reigns at Clash at the Castle 2022 in his homeland, expressing frustration over what he considers an unfair defeat. Despite targeting other Bloodline members, McIntyre has yet to directly confront Reigns himself.

This potential confrontation could establish a direction for both competitors heading into WrestleMania 41, as neither currently has a match scheduled for the Las Vegas premium live event.
