Ahead of the WWE Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, former WWE Champion The Miz lauded John Cena as the “GOAT” during an interview with Fox News Digital. The Miz broke from his usual character portrayal to discuss Cena’s impending retirement and final in-ring engagements.
Cena is slated to conclude his active in-ring career by the end of December 2025. The Miz expressed a desire for “one last match” against Cena before his final curtain call, characterizing this period as Cena’s “farewell tour.”
In his remarks, The Miz urged WWE fans to appreciate and closely follow Cena’s remaining performances. He stated, “I think other things he might be able to do, but wrestling in a ring, I think this is the last year we’re gonna see him. So, I think we should cherish it. We should watch it and enjoy what he’s doing. Whether you don’t like what he is doing or you do like what he’s doing, just sit back and watch because he truly is the GOAT.”
