So what comes next for The Undertaker? After wrestling veteran Konnan sparked conversation by revealing The Deadman’s recent presence in WWE creative meetings, the man himself has now addressed the speculation.
In a new interview with Andrew Ravens, The Undertaker confirmed his long-term interest in a backstage role, but framed it as a matter of significant personal and professional commitment.
“Yeah, I’ve always kind of had an interest,” Undertaker stated. “It’s just a matter of making it work with my schedule and the other things that I have going on. Because the ask for something like that is really big, and I would have to be 100% committed to be part of that, right? I mean, you have to be involved in all of these creative meetings and all of this other stuff.”
His comments clarify that this isn’t just a casual desire, but a serious potential step that would require a full-time dedication that he is carefully weighing against his current obligations. This comes after Konnan noted on his podcast that he observed The Undertaker participating in creative discussions for both the Worlds Collide and Money in the Bank events on June 7.
The Undertaker also explained that logistics, specifically his location in Texas, are a key factor in any potential arrangement. His willingness, however, is clear if the right situation presents itself.
“If we can figure out a way to make that happen… obviously, [being] in Texas, you know, I would definitely entertain it,” he said. “And I’ll always, if there’s something that I could do to make our product better, help talent, then I’m on board for that.”
This potential move into a formal creative position aligns with his activities since retiring from the ring in 2020. Through coaching at the WWE Performance Center and hosting his Six Feet Under podcast, he has remained deeply connected to the business and has openly discussed finding his place in a post-wrestling life.
A permanent role on the creative team would place him alongside peers like Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque and Shawn Michaels. While it remains to be seen if he will formally join the team, The Undertaker has made it clear that one of wrestling’s most legendary minds is open to helping shape the future of the WWE product.
