The ongoing rivalry between WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax will reach a new level of intensity on the June 27 edition of WWE SmackDown.
During this past Friday’s broadcast, Nia Jax stood in the ring and voiced her complaints, claiming she was unjustly deprived of the WWE Women’s Championship and that she had taken Stratton under her wing when she first arrived on the brand.
The champion promptly interrupted. Stratton dismissed Jax’s claims, comparing her to an “ex-boyfriend who just won’t get over her” and suggesting the simple truth is that she is the superior competitor. In response, Jax challenged her to prove it.
Stratton revealed that she had already taken the initiative, confirming a match between them for the following week. She then added a critical stipulation: it will be a Last Woman Standing match for the WWE Women’s Championship. This encounter is a continuation of their feud, which included a title defense on May 16 where Stratton retained against Jax.
Following the announcement, the situation devolved into physicality. Jax attacked Stratton and left her down in the middle of the ring, which drew the attention of the 2025 Ms. Money In The Bank, Naomi. Citing Stratton’s past interference in her own championship pursuits, Naomi rushed to the ring with her briefcase, signaling her intent to cash in the contract.
However, before the cash-in could become official, Stratton recovered just in time to knock Naomi from the ring apron. Naomi’s fall was broken by Jax at ringside, an impact that allowed the champion to escape with her title, narrowly avoiding a championship match.
