
Mina Shirakawa is now officially part of the AEW talent roster. The confirmation of her signing was delivered by AEW President Tony Khan during this week’s installment of Dynamite.
This formalization of Shirakawa’s status with the company occurs just prior to her scheduled challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship against Toni Storm. This championship contest is slated for the upcoming Double or Nothing 2025.
Tony Khan released a statement regarding the signing, noting Shirakawa’s recent activities. He stated, “She’s challenging for the AEW Women’s World Title at #AEWDoN THIS SUNDAY, and after her impressive win on #AEWDynamite + her altercation with World Champion Timeless Toni Storm tonight, now it’s official: @MinaShirakawa is ALL ELITE!”

Shirakawa’s first appearance in an AEW ring took place on the April 11, 2024, broadcast of AEW Dynamite.
