TNA Wrestling approached Tony Khan about purchasing the company in 2018, according to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. This revelation comes amid recent discussions about the promotion’s ownership history.
TNA Wrestling underwent several ownership changes since its establishment in 2002 by Jerry Jarrett, Jeff Jarrett, and Bob Ryder. Panda Energy acquired a controlling stake, leading to Dixie Carter’s tenure as President. After Carter’s departure in 2017, Billy Corgan purchased a minority stake, with Aroluxe Marketing expressing interest in investing during 2016. Anthem Media ultimately acquired the Nashville-based promotion and maintains ownership today.
