Eddie Kingston voiced his disapproval regarding the unauthorized disclosure of information pertaining to the AEW Double or Nothing contest between Hangman Page and Will Ospreay. Kingston expressed his views via his Instagram story, responding to a report from Fightful Select which detailed AEW’s efforts to maintain secrecy around the match’s outcome.
In his social media post, Kingston directed strong words at the individual responsible for the leak, stating:
People know who leaked it. You f***** j**offf!
The Fightful Select report indicated that AEW and Tony Khan deliberately kept the result of the Page versus Ospreay match confidential for a period of weeks. Khan was reportedly vague regarding the winner, even when approached directly by talent. Contrary to some beliefs that the decision was made on the day of Double or Nothing, the report clarified that Hangman Page and Will Ospreay were informed of the outcome earlier during that weekend.
Further details from the report revealed that both Page and Ospreay advocated for their opponent to win the match. Jon Moxley, who is scheduled to face Hangman Page at All In: Texas on July 12, also reportedly favored a victory for Page. The actual result was a surprise to many backstage, as Will Ospreay had been widely anticipated to win. The match itself was conducted without incident, and both participants were reportedly in good condition afterward.
Eddie Kingston is currently recovering from a significant leg injury sustained last year, for which he has undergone surgery.
