Will Ospreay, a prominent performer in AEW, has affirmed his willingness to be “a Paul Heyman Guy” under suitable circumstances, an admission made during a recent interview where he also expressed considerable admiration for the WWE managerial figure.
While speaking with Josh Martinez of Z100 on Superstar Crossover, Ospreay was presented with a hypothetical scenario about aligning with Paul Heyman if they were associated with the same wrestling organization. Ospreay confirmed he would be open to such a role.
Explaining his position, Ospreay referenced a past interaction and his long-standing respect for Heyman. “Listen, yeah, sure. Paul gave me that incredible moment once upon a time, where he offered me an EVOLVE deal years ago. I didn’t take it. The money was shit, to be honest with you,” he stated, with the interview noting Ospreay laughed and clarified this specific comment about the offer’s terms was made in jest. He then continued, “It was lovely, but I love Paul Heyman. I grew up watching him, man. I’ve always admired his ability to evolve his character and to get into certain roles. He’s the man.”
