Mickie James has expressed interest in potentially returning to WWE for a match against Asuka. The 45-year-old former champion responded to a social media interaction that referenced their previous encounter.
The exchange began when Asuka reacted to a fan’s video of their past match at NXT TakeOver, commenting that she had a great experience working with James. This prompted James to respond with an open invitation for another contest.
YOU are so great. One of my favorites to do it. & if you ever want to run it back… LFG! ♥️

Asuka has been absent from WWE programming since suffering a knee injury at Backlash 2024. Many fans anticipated her return during the Women’s Royal Rumble Match earlier this month, but she did not appear at the premium live event.
