Damian Priest enters this weekend’s Backlash event still nursing injuries from his brutal WrestleMania 41 match. The Judgment Day member suffered significant physical toll during his Sin City Street Fight against Drew McIntyre on April 20’s Night Two of WWE’s flagship event.
During an MLB Network appearance, Priest acknowledged his ongoing recovery while preparing for Saturday’s title defense.
I still haven’t recovered from Mania physically. So I’m looking at this match and I’m thinking to myself, ‘Okay, so I’m definitely gonna feel pain for a while.’
The champion faces a formidable challenge in Lyon, France, defending against three opponents in a Fatal Four-Way match. Despite his condition, Priest embraces the physical demands, stating:
