Paul “Triple H” Levesque of WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) has officially announced a significant alteration to its major event schedule for New Orleans, confirming that while WrestleMania will not take place there in April 2026, the city will instead host Money in the Bank on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
In his social media statement, Paul Levesque shared WWE’s enthusiasm for the newly scheduled premium live event: “Today I want to announce to you the first of those, one of which we’re very excited about coming to New Orleans on Saturday, August 29th. 2026 will be Money in the Bank.” He emphasized the prestige of the event, noting, “Money in the Bank is one of our biggest events of the year with high stakes, amazing drama and the chance of a lifetime for two WWE Superstars to walk away with a coveted Money in the Bank briefcase.”
This scheduling adjustment follows a recent joint announcement by WWE and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation which confirmed that WrestleMania is no longer slated for the Superdome in April 2026.

Earlier this year, The Rock had publicly named New Orleans as the host for WrestleMania 42. While that specific engagement is now deferred, Levesque assured that a future WrestleMania in New Orleans remains in WWE’s plans, thanks to what he described as “great local partners from both the state and the city.” He added, “Stay tuned for more details on a WrestleMania coming to New Orleans, which will be announced at a later date. As our major live event calendar in New Orleans continues to expand and evolve… so that just leaves one question. And are you ready?”

No new host city for WrestleMania in 2026 has been revealed.
New Orleans has a strong history with WWE’s flagship show, having hosted WrestleMania in both 2014 and 2018, indicating the city’s continued importance in the company’s long-term event strategy.
