The journey to Money in the Bank commenced on the May 16 edition of SmackDown. Qualifying matches began, determining participants for the June 7 event. Two wrestlers have already secured their chances for the coveted briefcases.
In the men’s division, Solo Sikoa punched his ticket. He overcame Jimmy Uso and Rey Fenix in a tense triple threat match. Interference from Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo (Jeff Cobb) proved decisive. Their distractions at ringside paved the way for Sikoa’s victory.
Earlier in the night, Alexa Bliss emerged victorious in the women’s qualifier. She faced Chelsea Green and Michin. Bliss pinned Green after delivering a Sister Abigail DDT. This win grants her entry into the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
