Veteran Suggests Gunther for Major WWE RAW Faction

ECW icon Tommy Dreamer discussed Gunther potentially joining Paul Heyman's latest alliance, citing added intensity and a possible shift in dynamic.

ECW Original Tommy Dreamer has voiced a compelling scenario for Paul Heyman’s emerging faction on WWE RAW. During an appearance on the Busted Open podcast, Dreamer suggested the inclusion of Gunther into the group, which currently features Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker. This move, Dreamer believes, could significantly alter the faction’s trajectory.

Dreamer highlighted Gunther’s established presence as a premier antagonist within the wrestling world. The addition of The Ring General, who recently experienced a setback losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, would bring substantial “heat” according to the veteran.

The wrestling legend elaborated on his perspective, stating, “I would be so happy if Gunther were involved because Gunther would add heat to this group because this group can get over as a babyface.” Dreamer also considers Gunther one of WWE RAW’s few remaining true heels.

Dreamer further noted, “Gunther’s my last heel; he’s especially my last heel on RAW, except for Logan Paul and Finn Balor.” The potential integration of Gunther is seen by Dreamer not just as an intensifier, but as a catalyst that could eventually guide the dominant group towards a fan-favorite status.
