WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi has publicly confirmed the relationship status of NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer and fellow NXT competitor Myles Borne. The revelation occurred during an interview on WFLA News Channel 8, where Femi discussed his upcoming title defense against Borne at NXT Battleground, effectively ending weeks of unconfirmed speculation about the pair.
While speaking on WFLA News Channel 8 ahead of NXT Battleground, Oba Femi addressed his scheduled NXT Championship match against Myles Borne. In doing so, Femi directly referred to Borne in the context of his relationship with Stephanie Vaquer. “I mean, I’m looking forward to beating up Stephanie Vaquer’s boyfriend [Myles Borne] for a little bit,” Femi stated. He continued, “I have a one-on-one match with Myles Borne; he’s worked his way up the ranks, and he won a couple of matches to earn an opportunity for the NXT Championship, which I respect. At the end of the day, this is not a Disney movie. You don’t get the happy ending. You don’t get to run off into the sunset with my belt, and I’m going to retain on Sunday.” Sportskeeda was credited with the transcription of the quote.
Prior to Femi’s comments, rumors regarding a romance between Stephanie Vaquer and Myles Borne had circulated, particularly after a photo of Vaquer with Borne’s family gained traction online earlier in the month. However, neither Vaquer nor Borne had officially confirmed their relationship.
It was noted that during the interview where Oba Femi made the disclosure, Stephanie Vaquer reportedly maintained a composed demeanor on camera. The NXT Women’s Champion has not yet personally addressed the now-public information regarding her relationship with Borne.
Both champions are scheduled for defenses at NXT Battleground 2025 this Sunday. In addition to Femi versus Borne, Stephanie Vaquer will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Jordynne Grace.
