A significant WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship match is now confirmed for WWE Money in the Bank, as Lyra Valkyria will defend her title against Becky Lynch. This prominent WWE contest for the championship belt is scheduled for June 7th at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.
The confirmation arrived via a video announcement on WWE’s Twitter account, featuring Lyra Valkyria. In the video, Valkyria directly addressed the repeated challenges from Lynch and the upcoming third encounter between the two WWE competitors.
Of course, unbelievable. I guess beating Becky twice wasn’t enough to humble her, so apparently we’re gonna do this a third time. Money in the Bank, and I can promise you one thing, the result’s gonna be the same.
This title defense follows Lyra Valkyria’s victory over Becky Lynch at the Backlash Premium Live Event. Subsequent to that match, Valkyria also played a role in Lynch’s failure to secure a position in the Money in the Bank ladder match, interfering during a qualifying match on the May 19th broadcast of WWE RAW.
The June 7th Money in the Bank event will determine if Lyra Valkyria can maintain her championship reign with another win over Lynch, or if Becky Lynch will capture the Women’s Intercontinental Title.
