WWE officially confirmed the structure and schedule for the 2025 King & Queen of the Ring tournaments. The event, which kicks off next week, will see its finals held at the WWE Night of Champions Premium Live Event.
The initial phase of the tournaments will feature quarter-final matches. Each tournament will host four four-way bouts, with two matches assigned to the Raw brand and two to SmackDown. The victors from these quarter-final contests will proceed to the semi-final stage.
A distinct feature of the 2025 tournaments is the semi-final bracket design, which ensures all matches at this stage will pit Raw competitors against SmackDown competitors. The ultimate champions of both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will earn title opportunities for their respective brand’s top championship at WWE SummerSlam.
General Managers Adam Pearce of Raw and Nick Aldis of SmackDown jointly delivered this announcement via a video presentation during the June 6 episode of WWE SmackDown. Following the video, Jade Cargill and Charlotte Flair were seen in a backstage confrontation, indicating their participation.
The Night of Champions Premium Live Event is scheduled for June 28 in Saudi Arabia, and will be the next major WWE event after Money in the Bank. SummerSlam is slated for either August 2 or 3.
