Moose successfully defended his TNA X-Division Championship against Lexis King during the February 25 episode of WWE NXT. The match marked the first X-Division Title defense to take place on NXT television, highlighting the ongoing partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling.
The contest occurred after Stephanie Vaquer defended her Women’s North American Championship earlier in the show. Despite strong crowd support for hometown favorite Lexis King, Moose dominated much of the action in his eighth televised defense of the X-Division Title.
King managed several comeback attempts throughout the match but couldn’t sustain momentum against the powerful TNA star. After surviving a Coronation from King, Moose secured the victory with a decisive spear for a clean pin.
