WWE Excludes CM Punk from Night of Champions Advertising in Saudi Arabia

CM Punk is notably absent from an updated advertisement for WWE’s upcoming Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia. A new version of the promotional spot, shared by Riyadh Season’s official X account, now features Seth Rollins.

An earlier iteration of the ad, broadcast during WWE Backlash, had included Punk, prompting widespread discussion among fans. His appearance, a brief wink to the camera, was a focal point of that initial promotion.

This discussion stemmed from Punk’s historically critical public stance on WWE’s events in Saudi Arabia. This includes a widely publicized, aggressive tweet directed at The Miz which referenced “blood money.”

Recently, on an Instagram Live session, CM Punk addressed these perceptions. He stated he could not “hate” going to Saudi Arabia as he has never actually visited the country, a point also noted by Fightful.

The removal of Punk from the latest Night of Champions advertisement introduces fresh uncertainty regarding his potential involvement. This occurs despite his recent efforts to reframe his past controversial statements about the events.
