The finalization of dates for WrestleMania 42, anticipated to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2026, is reportedly facing complications. Information suggests that WWE’s preferred dates for the event at Allegiant Stadium, the expected venue, clash with a prior booking by another major act. This act is reportedly not open to rescheduling, creating an obstacle for WWE to confirm and announce the WrestleMania 42 dates.
This development follows a significant change in venue for the 2026 event. WWE had previously announced that New Orleans would host WrestleMania 42, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson making such an announcement on SmackDown in February 2025. The Caesars Superdome was originally scheduled for the event on April 11 and 12, 2026.
However, WWE later declared that New Orleans will instead host the Money in the Bank premium live event in 2026. As part of this adjustment, New Orleans has been assured a future WrestleMania, under a broader multi-year, multi-event partnership involving WWE, UFC, and local organizers.
Currently, WWE has not officially named a new host city for WrestleMania 42. While Las Vegas is considered the leading candidate, with a potential date of April 18, 2026, being worked on for Allegiant Stadium, other international locations such as London, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico are also subjects of rumor.
The initial change of venue from New Orleans reportedly caused surprise within WWE. Furthermore, independent wrestling promotions and conventions, including WrestleCon, experienced disruptions as they had already commenced planning and made commitments based on the New Orleans location.
