R-Truth delivered a message directed at John Cena during this week’s WWE SmackDown broadcast, outlining his intentions for their encounter at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The World Wrestling Entertainment program featured R-Truth speaking about his plan to re-instill hustle, loyalty, and respect in his hero, John Cena, even if it required a forceful approach.
During his promo in Savannah, Georgia, R-Truth aimed to rally support, urging the audience to back him and even suggesting they should riot if John Cena emerged victorious in their upcoming match.
However, former WWE head writer Vince Russo, speaking on his BroDown show with host Mac Davis, expressed disapproval of the crowd’s reaction. Russo highlighted the persistent “What” chants from the audience throughout R-Truth’s speech. He interpreted these chants as a sign of disengagement and boredom from the WWE Universe, particularly problematic given R-Truth’s role as the babyface in the storyline.
