Michael Cole narrates the event as footage showcases the city of Atlanta. Cameras show Cody Rhodes walking alongside Brandi Rhodes and Liberty Rhodes. Bianca Belair and Naomi also appear. Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Sami Zayn, and Drew McIntyre are seen moving around the venue.
Cole announces the attendance of 12,432 spectators. A drone camera pans across the arena. Pat McAfee arrives at the commentary table. McAfee hypes up the Royal Rumble, mentioning WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, and states that “everything in the company is magical” before recapping the results of the NBC/Peacock special.
Seth Rollins enters the ring, introduced by Alicia Taylor.
Seth Rollins discusses the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania season. Sitting in the ring, he reflects on his loss to CM Punk during RAW’s debut on Netflix. Rollins states that he has taken time to evaluate his career and asserts that he doesn’t stay down for anyone. He lists the wrestlers he plans to eliminate at the Royal Rumble, including Roman Reigns, eliciting a strong reaction from the crowd. Rollins then declares his intention to eliminate CM Punk last in the Rumble, aiming to crush Punk’s WrestleMania dream.
Rollins talks about the opportunity to compete for a championship if he wins the Royal Rumble. He mentions Gunther as an obvious choice but also brings up the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. Rollins suggests it would be symbolic to face Rhodes for the same title he helped win the previous year. He engages the crowd, asking if he should challenge Cody, receiving some positive reactions.
Gunther enters the ring and joins Rollins. Seth Rollins asks Gunther if he’s just keeping the championship warm for him. Gunther responds by questioning where Rollins has been over the past few months. He mentions defending the title against Jey Uso, whom he dismissively refers to as “a clown.” Gunther accuses Rollins of spending his recent months whining and creating drama, losing sight of what truly matters in the business. He advises Rollins to ignore distractions and focus on the Royal Rumble, questioning whether Rollins still has what it takes to compete at the highest level.
Rollins counters by claiming that the championship Gunther holds wouldn’t even exist without him. Gunther fires back, saying it’s 2025 and Rollins is no longer the best wrestler in the company, declaring himself as the true best. Gunther challenges Rollins to win the Royal Rumble and face him at WrestleMania, confidently stating that Rollins would lose and come to realize that Gunther is the only name synonymous with the World Heavyweight Championship.
At that moment, Logan Paul makes his entrance. Logan Paul enters the ring to loud boos from the crowd. He addresses Gunther and Seth Rollins, claiming that while they see themselves as great wrestlers, he is great at everything. Paul highlights the Netflix era and declares that the company needs a new face with charisma and confidence. He mocks Gunther and Rollins, saying they should worry about someone who has built a WWE career faster than they ever did. Paul asserts that he doesn’t need to eliminate 29 men in the Royal Rumble, calling it work for others, and boasts about his smarter approach. He declares that he will win the Rumble and may challenge either Cody Rhodes or Gunther.
Gunther retorts by stating that he now hopes Paul wins the Rumble so he can personally humiliate him. Rollins agrees with Gunther but adds that Gunther will be the one humiliated if he tries to reclaim the title.
Cathy Kelley interviews CM Punk. She asks about Logan Paul’s chances in the Royal Rumble. Punk responds confidently, saying Paul will meet the same fate as everyone else. With a smirk, Punk jokes that he’d even eliminate Kelley if she were in the Rumble.
Sami Zayn interrupts, disagreeing with Punk. He reminds Punk that he has already headlined a WrestleMania, something Punk hasn’t done. Zayn confidently tells Punk he’ll see him at the Rumble before walking off.
As Zayn leaves, Karrion Kross stops him and brings up the kick he landed on Seth Rollins, claiming it was an accident. Kross advises Zayn to start thinking about himself and seize his best chance to win the Rumble. He cryptically mentions the many opportunities ahead before walking away.
Cody Rhodes then appears, catching Zayn off guard. The two share a brief but friendly exchange, with Rhodes greeting Zayn, who responds in kind before exiting.

However, both men leave without saying much.
Cathy Kelley then appears and reminds Kofi Kingston of his loss to Rey Mysterio last week. Kingston blames the referee for the defeat, insisting it wasn’t fair. He cryptically mentions that “Atlanta’s favorite son is home.” Kelley speculates names like Bron Breakker, Austin Theory, or Cody Rhodes, trying to guess who he’s referring to.
Kingston and Woods clarify that the return is about Xavier Woods. Woods confidently states that he’s going to defeat Rey Mysterio and shares that he bought front-row tickets for his mother, father, and sister to watch the match. He notes that his family hasn’t arrived yet but hopes they’ll make it in time.
Singles Match: Rey Mysterio, (w/Zelina Vega, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro) vs. Xavier Woods (w/Kofi Kingston)
– Rey Mysterio secured the victory with a 619.
After the match, Woods’ sister hands Rey Mysterio a T-shirt with the phrase “New Day Sucks” on it. Rey puts on the shirt and celebrates with Woods’ family. He then shares a heartfelt embrace with Vega.
Backstage, Sami Zayn talks to Seth Rollins about the Helluva Kick he delivered to him, claiming it was a mistake. Rollins agrees it might have been an error but notes that others might not see it that way. Rollins expresses unease about Zayn’s connection with Roman Reigns and warns that if something similar happens again, he won’t assume it’s an accident. Zayn asks if they’re good, and the two shake hands and share a brief hug.
Jey Uso is seen walking backstage, greeting fans, and making his way to the ring through the crowd. He is accompanied by rapper Quavo, who holds a replica championship belt. Jey and Quavo greet the commentary team, with Jey dancing on the announce table before grabbing a microphone. He thanks the Atlanta crowd and acknowledges his recent loss to Gunther, declaring that he still believes he can beat him. Jey emphasizes the importance of winning the Royal Rumble, going to WrestleMania, and capturing the World Heavyweight Championship. Michael Cole comments that miracles happen at the Royal Rumble.
Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Lyra Valkyria. Valkyria addresses speculation about her first challenger and announces her entry into the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
Chad Gable, Ivy Nile, and the Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) interrupt. Gable teases Valkyria, saying she won’t hold onto the title for long because Nile will take it from her—or rather, he corrects, their team will. Valkyria responds confidently, stating this is the closest Gable or Nile will ever get to the Intercontinental Championship. Nile fires back, promising to eliminate Valkyria from the Royal Rumble and “clip her wings.”
Back in the ring, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez await their opponents as Bianca Belair and Naomi make their entrance.
Tag Team Match: WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair & Naomi vs. Judgment Day (Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez)

Bayley interrupts the interview, teasing that she might be the one to win the Rumble on Saturday. Ripley wishes her luck before walking away. Moments later, IYO SKY approaches Bayley. The two exchange intense stares before SKY cryptically says, “See you on Saturday,” and leaves.
Kai Cenat makes his entrance, greeted by cheers. Pat McAfee hosts an interview with the YouTuber at the commentary table. Cenat shares his excitement about attending his first live WWE show and mentions his anticipation for seeing John Cena in the Royal Rumble. McAfee officially invites Cenat to the event, where he will have a chance to meet iShowSpeed.
A vignette features Penta, who declares that his debut in WWE is just the beginning. The Mexican star announces his entry into the Royal Rumble and vows that after his victory, he will achieve his “WrestleMania Moment.”
Paul Heyman walks to the ring, greeted by applause and a chant of “OTC” from the crowd. Heyman proceeds to reveal the cover of WWE 2K25, as a banner featuring Roman Reigns descends above the ring.
Heyman highlights Reigns’ recent recovery of the Ula Fala and his determination to reclaim the championship. He declares that it all begins at the Royal Rumble this Saturday. Heyman proclaims Reigns as the biggest star on the planet and quips that he would still be the biggest star on Mars if Elon Musk ever colonized it. He adds that 29 other competitors wish they could be the “Tribal Chief” and the top star in the industry.
Drew McIntyre enters the ring, while Heyman clutches the microphone. McIntyre glances at the WWE 2K25 cover and remarks that he played the game and only lost to Roman Reigns out of respect. He observes that Heyman looks nervous and advises him to relax, claiming that it’s Sami Zayn who should be worried.
McIntyre says Heyman doesn’t like him but should, asserting that he is the reason for Heyman’s success. Referring to himself as “The Father of the Bloodline,” McIntyre recalls eliminating Reigns in the 2020 Royal Rumble and defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. He suggests Heyman found Reigns at a low point and shaped him into what he is today.
McIntyre demands a simple “thank you.” Heyman obliges but adds that McIntyre is pushing his limits. McIntyre chuckles, apologizes, and steps back, asking Heyman to inform his client that he will defeat him at the Royal Rumble. Heyman promises to deliver the message.
McIntyre then clarifies that he wasn’t talking about Roman Reigns but CM Punk. He reminds Heyman that Punk owes him a favor for his assistance at WarGames. McIntyre orders Heyman to leave the ring. Heyman complies, with McIntyre watching as he exits. A graphic then appears, announcing the upcoming match between McIntyre and Sami Zayn.
Singles Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
– Drew McIntyre secured the victory with a roll-up.
After the match, Drew McIntyre continues to assault Sami Zayn. Cody Rhodes rushes to the ring, accompanied by his entrance music, and begins brawling with McIntyre. Rhodes manages to hit McIntyre with a Cody Cutter. However, Kevin Owens ambushes Rhodes from behind, sparking a fight between the two. McIntyre pulls Rhodes away from Zayn, but as Zayn attempts to deliver a Helluva Kick to McIntyre, McIntyre dodges, causing Zayn to accidentally strike Rhodes instead.
Owens stands by Zayn, pats him on the chest, and exits the ring. Zayn follows Owens up the ramp, repeatedly saying, “That’s not what happened.”
A few moments later, after recovering, Cody Rhodes picks up a microphone. He addresses his upcoming match for the Undisputed WWE Championship, a Ladder Match against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble. Rhodes expresses his eagerness to settle things with Owens once and for all.
CM Punk interrupts, walking to the ring. He asks Rhodes if he’s holding up and comments on the loneliness of being a world champion. Punk offers words of encouragement, acknowledging Rhodes’ impact on fans and highlighting the sacrifices that come with holding the Undisputed WWE Championship, such as spending less time with family.
Punk then announces his intention to win the 2025 Royal Rumble and challenge Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41. Rhodes reflects on their early days in the industry together and declares that he’s not chasing Punk—Punk is chasing him. The two exchange an intense stare-down as the show goes off the air.
End of show!
